Jim B. Latson founded Latson's Custom Millwork, Inc. in 1973. He started his career in the millwork industry in 1968 working a number of places before he launched his own family-owned business. With the help of Jim's sons, Brent and Marko, Latson's Custom Millwork, Inc. has built a sizable enterprise over three decades manufacturing quality, custom millwork.
Jim started out in his garage building custom doors to exact specifications with second hand tools. Filled with determination, Jim steadily grew the business by his own high standards. Distributors returned again and again to purchase these fine entryways. Before Jim knew it his company name was well-known in the industry.
Brent and Marko joined the team as young men learning the trade that their father started. Through the years, they have both made significant strides in helping their father fulfill his vision.
In November 2003, Marko Latson became the President of Latson's Custom Millwork and his brother Brent now serves as Vice President of Manufacturing. Jim Latson has retired but remains on the Board of Directors and contributes in an ongoing advisory/consulting capacity.
The Latson's family heritage continues to grow with their vision. Many more Latson's will be following in Jim's footsteps expanding on this family's legacy in the years to come.
