Latson’s Custom Millwork: The Tradition Continues

FORT WORTH, TX, June 1, 2004 – Latson’s Custom Millwork Inc., a manufacturer and producer of custom entryways has announced a new owner and president, Marko Latson. Marko is the youngest son of Jim Latson, the original founder and previous owner of Latson’s Custom Millwork Inc. Marko’s new roll in the company comes as no surprise. For the past several years, Marko has diligently worked at mastering the core business, understanding the challenges and establishing his name among the customers. Marko’s drive and no-nonsense approach to business is proving to be a great asset to Latson’s Custom Millwork.

Since changing ownership, Marko has appointed three long-standing members of the team to executive positions. Brent Latson, the eldest of the Latson sons, is now the Vice President of Manufacturing. Brent has served the company for over 20 years and has the proven background to head this division. Albert Mendoza, also a 20+ year veteran of Latson’s Custom Millwork, was named Vice President of Operations. Brent and Albert have distinguished histories with the company paired with a strong work ethic and sincere commitment to success. They are proud of their new positions as well as excited and ready for the future at Latson’s Custom Millwork. William G. (Bill) Hall is the third member of the Latson’s Custom Millworks board. Mr. Hall has had significant influence involving the company’s infrastructure and contributing to key decisions since 1979.

Marko and his team have new projects underway, including plans for updating their current location. Customers will be delighted to know that a showroom is in the planning stages. Marko plans to implement additional business strategies as well as add more employees, stating, “I want to go full throttle into the new millennium. New ideas, new energy and a fresh look and feel on everything we do.”

“Customers should expect more new products coming online as well as an upgrade to our order entry area,” says Latson. With a whole new line-up of entryways with iron inserts now in production, Latson’s Custom Millwork is well on its way to pushing the envelope with new product ideas.

There’s no doubt Marko will get his way. A man of determination who heralds the same principles, passion and energetic spirit of his father, Marko is sure to succeed.

Jim Latson remains a member of the Board of Directors as well as a contributing consultant to Marko and the Latson’s team. Jim’s semi-retirement finds him catching up on some well-deserved leisure time on his boat and with his grandchildren. “I’m proud that my sons are now walking in my footsteps taking the company we built together into the future and beyond,” Jim says. “Latson’s Custom Millwork is in the best hands possible.”
